IWA Flashfire: "War & Rumors of War" - March 5, 2005 - YMCA, Hartwell, Ga. RESULTS (est. attendance: 100)
Internet Champion, Buford T defeated Logan Kincayde in a 4 Wheel Alignment match
This match was voted on at www.iwaflashfire.com (http://www.iwaflashfire.com/). Each week the fans can vote on what type of gimmick match they would like to see the champion defend his title in. This match had 4 different metal hubcaps tied to the corners, the first to ram your opponent into all 4 in succession would win. This was a Good way to start the show as the crowd gets quite amused week after week, with the comedy antics of Buford T. He rammed Logan into all 4 for the win.
United States Champion, Lance Christopher beat James Boulevard
This match was awesome as it displayed some fast paced action. Boulevard definitely being the best in this match, everything he does looks crisp in clean. At one point Lance went for the top rope arm drag and Boulevard reversed it to a top rope powerslam, that a got a good pop from the crowd. Lance did go over after a top rope splash. But this was a good entertaining match.
Corporal Knight got a win on Executioner by DQ
Corp Knight does a masked army gimmick, Executioner does an old school mid evil masked gimmick. This match had some slow action but got a rise out of the Ga, National Guard who were present at this show. It was Executioner giving Knight a square low blow in front of the ref that caused the DQ.
Merciless Don Matthews defeated Solitude in a Man of Steele match in overtime
The Man of Steele match was unique in that it was just about like an Iron Man match except only Submissions counted. The match was 10 minutes and Solitude got 2 submissions on Merciless from the jump. One from an ankle lock and one from a triangle choke. Finally at the 8 minute mark, Merciless regained 2 submissions, one with a key lock and the other with a heal toe lock. The match went into overtime and Merciless choked Solitude out with a guillotine choke for the win.
"Stateline" and "Soul Generation" both defeated The Tag Team Champions Big Country & Phillip Pain
In this match one ref went down on inverted splash in the corner. This led to another ref coming out and got knocked out as well. At the finish Mack Truck from "Stateline" had Country pinned, and Playa from "Soul Generation" had Pain pinned the refs got up and both counted to three. The titles will be held up between those two teams.
Heavyweight Champion "The Tower" Jason Swords beat Casey J
This match was a good hard hitting match. Jason Swords got the win with his f-5 chokeslam called the Implosion.
Rahn Jordan beat Kevin Blue
This match was phenomenal with alot of interesting spots to entertain the crowd with. At one time Jordan missed a moonsault and came back on his feet, Blue ran at him with a clothesline and Jordan hit a spine buster then went down. Finally Jordan blocked the overdrive and hit Blue with his reverse F-U called the "Jus'tified Juke" for the win.
The IWA Flashfire next show is called "Reconstruction" at the Hartwell Middle School, Hartwell, Ga on March 19 @ 7:30
